The Stratford University men's basketball team picked a bad night to have their worst half of basketball, as they fell behind 44-29 at the half to the top ranked USCAA D2 team, Villa Maria.  The Cardinals did not roll over in the second half, as they cut a seventeen point lead with sixteen minutes to play, to actually take a one point lead with six minutes left before eventually falling 85-84.

The Cardinals were led by Jashad Jamison, who scored a game high 22 points, while grabbing 7 rebounds, dishing out 4 assists, blocking 3 shots and collecting 2 steals.  Ronald Davis turned in another double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Kendell Marshall and Kendall Shepherd each added 11 points in the loss.

Stratford outrebounded the Vikings 39-34 and shot 50.8% from the field, while falling to 9-2 on the year.

The Cardinals return to action with a noon tip on Thursday afternoon against fourth ranked Bryant & Stratton-Buffalo.
